A Chippendale Period mahogany Tripod Table
A George III Chippendale period mahogany urn stand or low tripod table. The well coloured octagonal top with an open fretwork gallery top supported by interlaced C-Scrolled columns above three downswept cabriole legs and pad feet.
Reference: A similar table was illustrated In the Norman Adams Catalogue 2005, Plate 8. It is described as possibly Irish, although this seems only due to its provenance being the Gore-Booth Family, Lissadell House, Co. Sligo, Ireland. Nevertheless, the table with its quirky appearance, is certainly unusual and would enhance any collection.
