A William IV Mahogany Dining Table
Diameter: 69" 175.25cm
Origination: English
Circa: 1835
The table has a mahogany top which is well figured and has faded to a golden colour. It is supported on an unusual base with three columns standing on a platform base in turn supported on scroll feet and castors. The top may be tipped for storage and retains its original gilt metal clip.
The table will comfortably seat eight people and with the concave curve of the platform base, no one will have a leg or a pedestal in the way. Lit by candle-light the glow from the golden coloured mahogany would undoubtedly create a wonderful ambience.
