An outstanding Regency period Centre table made to showcase an exceptional Scagliola table top from the workshop of Pietro & Giuseppe Della Valle. (Leghorn, early 19th century until 1865)


The Scagliola table top on a slate support with a central panel depicting Aurora, goddess of the dawn, after a fresco by Guido Reni, and perimetral frieze in grisaille with acanthus volutes, griffins, urns and lyres. c. 1830.  On original rosewood base with gilded wood intaglio, England, c. 1830.
